One of the alternatives to applying to the Court for a financial remedy Order is to adopt the collaborative process where the parties, with the help from chosen solicitors, work together to find a solution to the children and financial consequences of their relationship breakdown. The parties will sign a collaborative agreement and they commit to engage in series of meetings to negotiate a solution.
How collaborative law works
If the agreement breaks down, an application to the Court still remains an option but the lawyers involved in the collaborative process regrettably cannot then act on their behalf. We cannot offer Collaborative Law at Gouldingays but can signpost you to other qualified individuals who offer this process.
